WHAT'S IT ABOUT:

Joy will -

present an emotional and inspirational event
which pays tribute to the hospice professional.

With emotionally charged stories taken from her hands-on experience as a caregiver,
Joy takes the attendees on a journey through the "cities" of disbelief,
despair, acceptance, farewell and triumph.
Each step is addressed with compassion and understanding.

Subjects addressed are:

Running on Empty
Conscious Gratitude
Living Sanctuariously
(26 Stepping Stones to Inner Peace for Nurses)

Attendees will leave this conference with food for thought,
creative ideas to incorporate
 into their professional care giving experience
and inspiration to carry on with their journey.
As a recent attendee expressed,
"Years ago I heard an inspirational speaker who had a massive heart.
 I wondered if I would ever again meet such a person.
Today I met that person.  Her name is Joy."

Daniel will:

address the unhealthy roles and related behavioral characteristics
 that may be exhibited by family members while caring for someone at the end of life.

His expertise will enable attendees to become aware of
and understand these roles and characteristics;
 assist them in helping family members understand
these roles and characteristics;
and explore factors that contribute to the
development of healthy and unhealthy behaviors.

TOGETHER,
these two presenters bring information and inspiration
to the hospice and home care nurse.
They validate their sacred calling
and provide nourishment for their spirits.

"I heard Joy speak in Nebraska
and will forever be inspired by her words."
- Martha M. - hospice nurse
