Dear Joy:
Thank you for your presentation to our staff at Hospice of
Southern WV in October. It was a wonderful way to kick-off our Hospice Month
’09 celebrations.
Collectively, we found your story to be one our audience
could identify with, both professionally and personally. Your demeanor and
delivery were calming and peaceful and a welcome break from the frequently
hectic days our staff encounter.
Comments we received included:
“When she talked about living in the moment and breathing in
‘now’, I knew that message was meant for me and my situation.” – L. Cline
“She really helped to relate to everyone on their level,
teaching spiritual lessons without being preachy or denominational.” - R.
Culicerto
“I had been going through a tough time in my life and Joy
was just what I needed. She was an inspiration.” – T. Helmick
“Where did you find her? Joy was perfect for our group, but
could also be very enlightening to groups of medical/nursing students and for
caregiver groups.”
– D. Tonneli
“I could really see her ‘light.’ She was a very uplifting
speaker who not only highlighted the responsibilities Hospice workers take on,
but emphasized the ups and downs of the caregiver role.” – M. Ward
Again, we deeply appreciate the uplifting work you do and are
happy to extend our sincerest recommendations to those considering you for workshops.
Warm Regards,
Janett Green, M.B.A.

I spoke about being AWAKE for the journey
The audience was treated to several personal stories, both serious and humorous, which emphasized the power of thought and word, the grace of gratitude and the blessings of living a heartful life.
This was a book signing event for From Fear to Faith, A Caregiver's Journey
I am always pleased to add a Meet the Author event to a presentation or workshop. It allows me the opportunity to meet with those to whom my words are directed - professional caregivers and family caregivers.
It is also a pleasure to offer readings from Seekers and Dreamers ... a collection of prose, prayers and meditations. Also, sharing Mia and Mr. Red Feather and Little Kind Heart is an absolute joy!
