My Joy Today

Joshua was just six years old when he was diagnosed with cancer.  His mother, my daughter, Renee, documented his journey through tests and treatments, surgeries and recoveries.  Little did she know the photographs would become part of a wonderful book filled with Joshua's courageous words, and her faithful words as well.

Now it is Joshua's dream to make his book available to every child facing all the unknowns about cancer.  Here are Joshua's words:

I'm really excited to spread words of hope to kids dealing with cancer.  It's my dream that each boy and girl fighting cancer will have a copy of this book, so that my words, and my Mom's words, can make them feel better in their hearts.

Sometimes having cancer can scare kids.  I was scared, too, at first.  But I want to show other boys and girls that it's really not so bad after all.  And that some of the changes, like losing your hair, can be kind of fun - it all depends on how you look at it!
